TYPO3 has joined the PHP Foundation as a Silver Sponsor, extending its commitment to the open-source technologies and communities on which its own ecosystem is built.
TYPO3 is an open-source enterprise content management system built with open web standards. It provides a robust feature set for scalable, multisite, multilingual, and highly connected digital platforms. TYPO3 is also a verified Digital Public Good and part of the Open Website Alliance through the TYPO3 Association.
PHP has been the technological foundation of TYPO3 for more than two decades. It supports the CMS, its extension ecosystem, and the digital platforms built and maintained by TYPO3 agencies, contributors, and users worldwide.
TYPO3 also builds on other established open-source technologies, including Symfony components. Its support for the PHP Foundation follows the same principle as its financial backing of Symfony 8.1 and its sponsorship of PHPverse online events: projects that benefit from shared open-source infrastructure also have a role in sustaining it. As a Silver Sponsor, TYPO3 contributes financially to the PHP Foundation’s work to support the continued development, maintenance, security, and stability of PHP.
“We're proud and grateful to support the PHP Foundation - because without PHP, there is no TYPO3. Its long-term health matters to our project, our community, and everyone building on top of TYPO3. By contributing as a Silver Sponsor, we are supporting the shared infrastructure we rely on every day.” --Frank Nägler, CTO, TYPO3 Company
As a Silver Sponsor, TYPO3 is putting support behind the language that powers its CMS and many other projects across the open-source web. This sponsorship reflects a shared interest in keeping PHP secure, stable, and ready for what comes next.
